Welcome to Project Friend. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services, website, and communications.
By accessing or using Project Friend’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Project Friend provides advisory, educational, and consulting services to individuals and businesses undertaking construction, renovation, development, or architectural projects.
We aim to assist clients by sharing experience-based guidance, insights, and advice to better inform their decisions.
Project Friend provides support similar to that of a knowledgeable colleague or mentor — we do not act as a professional service provider assuming responsibility for your project outcomes.
We offer:
Online and in-person consultations.
Site inspections and evaluations (subject to location and safety).
Construction and architectural advice.
Educational resources and tools.
All services are informational in nature and intended to supplement, not replace, your own independent decision-making and the services of licensed professionals.
Important Clarifications:
We are not a project manager and do not manage projects on your behalf.
We are not site supervisors and do not monitor or control work performed on-site.
We do not inspect, verify, or certify the quality, accuracy, or safety of any works.
We are not expert witnesses, unless legally compelled by court order.
We do not provide legal, engineering, quantity surveying, or regulatory compliance services.
Site inspections are provided subject to accessibility and safe working conditions.
Project Friend reserves the right to refuse or terminate a site visit if, in our sole discretion, site conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
Clients may provide private security or safety measures from a reputable company; however, Project Friend retains the right to refuse attendance even if security is arranged.
For site inspections outside of Gauteng Province:
Clients are responsible for all reasonable travel and accommodation costs.
If accommodation or transport is provided by the client, it must be pre-approved by Project Friend to ensure safety and quality standards.
Services must be booked in advance via our online system or through direct arrangements.
Full payment is required to confirm all bookings.
100% refund if cancellation is made 7 calendar days or more before the scheduled appointment.
50% refund if cancellation is made 4 calendar days before the scheduled appointment.
No refund if cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Refunds will be processed within 7 business days.
If a refund to the original payment method is not possible, the refund will be made by electronic transfer into the client’s nominated South African bank account. Clients must provide a valid bank account confirmation letter issued by their bank to verify ownership before a refund can be processed.
By engaging Project Friend, you agree to:
Provide complete, accurate, and honest information regarding your project.
Understand that advice given is general and supportive in nature, and that you remain responsible for your project's decisions and outcomes.
Independently verify the suitability and compliance of any professional services, designs, materials, or works undertaken.
Ensure that no unsafe, hazardous, or inappropriate conditions exist during site inspections.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Project Friend, its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damages arising from the use of our services.
Clients expressly waive any claims against Project Friend arising from project delays, construction defects, financial losses, injuries, or contractual disputes with third parties.
Project Friend’s advice is non-binding and intended for educational purposes only.
All intellectual property created, provided, or shared by Project Friend, including but not limited to:
Written materials
Templates
Tools
Training guides
Proprietary systems and methodologies
remains the exclusive property of Project Friend.
You are strictly prohibited from copying, distributing, modifying, publishing, selling, or commercially exploiting any Project Friend materials without express written consent.
Unauthorised use will result in immediate legal action without further notice.
We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and are effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
